What makes Citrus-Clean so different from other carpet cleaners? You take your fine clothes to the dry cleaner to avoid damage caused by soap and water. We use Citrus-Clean for the same reason. The citrus is very effective against grease, soils, pet stains, and fights yellowing and oxidation that can dull your carpet. Citrus-Clean cleans and treats you carpet without leaving a sticky, soapy, or chemical residue. Unlike most carpet cleaners Citrus-Clean does not use what is commonly referred to as a "truck-mounted" cleaning system. Our process is VERY low moisture so we don't need to extract. Citrus-Clean also DOES NOT have hidden charges, fees, or fine print in our advertising. So we aren't going to change, or increase the price when we finish your home. That means you can make out your check before we even get there. Ask another carpet cleaner if you can do that with them! We try everyday to change the way people think about carpet cleaning.

My neighbor said her son's allergy symptoms improved after she got her carpet cleaned. Is that possible?More than possible! We constantly hear of an abatement of allergy symptoms after we clean carpets. Carpet cleaning can reduce the allergens in the carpet, thereby improving indoor air quality. No vacuming or carpet cleaning process removes all allergens or dust mites from the carpet, despite what some companies claim. We believe our citrus based cleaner is a healthier and a more effective way to protect your carpet, upholstery and rugs. Our primary ingredient is extracted from citrus peels and has a proven track record in the treatment of environmental issues related to respiratory problems, dust mites, etc. Our Citrus-Clean cleaner, when combined with an antimicrobial (Benefect), has provided relief from allergy symptoms for many of our clients. We also recommend the use of disposable electrostatic air filters for your heat and air supply. Remember, your central air fan only filters air when it's running. Fall and Spring are when you need it the most and it runs the least. Consider running the fan on manual during these seasons. Regular vacuuming with a good vacuum will also help to reduce allergens.

I have two large dogs that not only shed, but at times have "accidents" on my carpet. What would be your recommendation on how to get rid of the urine smell and stains?"Yes, our pets at times seem like all they want to do is keep leaving deposits on our carpet. It makes you wonder if they want to buy it! Citrus-Clean, with it's powerful dry cleaning fluid process, will not only leave your carpets smelling great, but when combined with an antimicrobial (Benefect), will actually eliminate the urine smell in your carpets and serve as a deterrent to your pets using the same area. Our cleaner, powered by citrus cleaning agents, eliminates 99% of the bacteria and germs associate with a "guilty" pet. Carpets need attention, just like your pets. Vacuum 2-3 times a week and check your vacuum bag and empty regularly. We recommend with pets and children, that you get your carpets cleaned at least two times a year. It is not realistic to call a professional cleaner at each "guilty pet incident". You can still count on Citrus-Clean to keep your home environment moving in the right direction. If your pet does have an accident that requires immediate attention, do not clean the area with soap and water, but spot clean your carpet by using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. After removing the majority of the urine stain with the white vinigar and water, allow it to dry and finish the process with our CitruSpotter Carpet Stain Remover.

I have just replaced my carpet. My old carpet was matted down and seemed to get dirty quickly. What can I do to make my new carpet last longer? The best way to extend the life of you carpet is VACUUM, VACUUM, VACUUM! Like any other fabric, carpet will last longer with proper maintenance. Frequent vacuming prevents abrasive soils from cutting and prematurely wearing the fiber. In addition, avoid using carpet cleaning processes and spot cleaners that leave a soapy, foamy residue behind. This can trap abrasive particles and soils in your carpet and can cause chemical discoloration. Would you shampoo your hair and leave the soap in? The same goes for your carpets. The Citrus-Clean carpet cleaning process is a dry cleaning fluid process with a twist of lemon, orange and grapefruit. Our cleaner is powered by citrus cleaning agents extracted from citrus peels. The citrus helps fights yellowing and oxidation that can dull your carpet, similar to how the lemon juice in a fruit salad keeps the bananas and apples from discoloring. If you have an unusual spot you don't know how to clean, call us for advice. Most stains can be removed with proper and immediate treatment.
